In Boss Media’s version of Single-Deck
Blackjack, as in most other online and casino versions of the game,
you are competing against the dealer only, not the other players.
Boss Media offers table limits of $1-100, $5-500, or $25-1,000. Your
goal is to get the value of your hand as close to 21 as possible
without going over 21. You have a Blackjack if the first two cards
that you are dealt (before you hit), add up to 21. As long as the
dealer doesn’t have the same, a Blackjack win pays 3 to 2. If the
value of your hand is closer to 21 (without going over) than the
dealer’s hand, you win even money. If your hand adds up to more than
21, you “bust” and your bet is lost. If the value of your hand and
the dealer’s hand are the same, it is called a “push” and you get
your wager back. Single-Deck Blackjack, as the name suggests, uses
one ix 52 card deck that is shuffled after each round. Boss Media’s
Blackjack uses “Las Vegas Strip” rules with the following two
exceptions: you can only split a hand once and you can double after
splitting a hand. In this variation of Blackjack, as with all
others, the dealer must follow specific rules. If the dealer has 17
or more, they must stand, if they have 16 or less, they must hit.
This keeps the dealer from being able to use your hand against you,
since they can see your hand by the time it is their turn to play
their hand.
Now all that is left is to pick a table to join and
begin your game. If you can’t find a table that you want to play at,
or if you would like to set up a table for you and your friends,
choose the “Private Table” option.
