Single Deck Blackjack

Cryptologic was founded in 1995 as a new Internet idea dealing with communication protocols, with the goal of settling transactions safely and securely, reliably and as fast as possible. Now, they are known as one of the biggest and most respected names in online casino software. In 1996, they expanded their company to the world of online gaming by launching WagerLogic and their first casino, Intercasino. Now they have more than 140 employees around the world and are publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. They have safely and successfully processed over Ten Billion Dollars in gaming transactions and are considered one of, if not the most financially stable casino licensors on the internet.

This great Blackjack variation, only available at Cryptologic Casinos, really stirred things up when it was introduced back in 2003. It has $25 minimums and a few different rules than other Blackjack games. The first rule is, obviously, that only one 52 card deck is used and it is re-shuffled after every hand. The next is that the dealer must draw on soft 17s and must stand on hard 17s. Doubling after a split is allowed in this variation of the game, but re-splitting is not allowed. There are no “Surrenders” allowed and you only get one card if you split aces. This variation has a pretty low house edge and is very well worth playing. However, with this variation, keep in mind that you will not gain advantage by card tracking or card counting since the deck is re-shuffled after each hand. Other than the alterations mentioned already, Single-Deck Blackjack is played and wagered on just like any other variation of the game. When you get “Blackjack”, it pays 3 to 2 and Insurance pays 2 to 1, just as in most (but not all) other variations.
