High Limit Baccarat
High Limit Baccarat is a game of both
chance and of skill between the player and the Banker that is played
with 8 decks of 52 cards each that are shuffled after each round.
There are three types of bets in High Limit Baccarat; Player, Banker
and Tie. The object of High Limit Baccarat is to correctly guess
which hand, the Player’s or the Banker’s will be closer to nine or
if there will be a tie. The Player’s cards are revealed first,
always before the Banker’s hand. King’s, Queen’s, Jack’s and Ten’s
all have a zero point value. Winning in High Limit Baccarat depends
on which hand you bet on and which hand wins. If you bet on the
Banker's hand, and the hand wins, you pay a 5% commission to the
House. The table below shows the payout for each winning hand.
1. Hand Combination Payout
Banker 2:1 - 5% commission on
winnings
Player 2:1
Tie 8:1
*note* if you do not
bet on a tie and the hand is a tie, your bet is returned to
you
If you are betting on a Tie, you are not allowed to peek at
the face down cards. However, if you are not betting on a tie, you
can peek at your cards by dragging your mouse over one of the edges
of the card you want to see. When you do this, the rank and suit of
the card are removed from the corners and you can figure out the
value of the card by the amount of pips that are showed. ( A PIP is
the spot/marks on the card that show you the rank/value of the
card).
If necessary, a third card may be dealt, based on the
following rules:
1. If either hand totals an 8 or a 9, they
must stand - this rule overrides all other rules below.
2. If
the Player stands, and the Banker has a total of 5 or less, the
Banker may take a third card.
3. The Player gets a third card if
their hand totals 5 or less.
4. Use the chart below to see
if the dealer gets a third card when the player does.
