Red Dog

Red Dog Poker is a game that is between you and the dealer and is played with one deck of 52 cards. To begin the game, you are dealt two cards and if these cards are not either a pair or in consecutive order, your objective is to decide if the value of the third card to be dealt will fall between the values of the first two dealt cards. If you are correct in your prediction, you will be paid according to the Payout Table (listed below).

Spread Odds
1 card 5:1
2 cards 4 :1
3 cards 2:1
4 to 11 cards 1:1
Consecutives Tie
Pairs Tie
Three of a Kind 11:1

When playing Red Dog, you should be aware of some of the terminology that is used in the game. The list below will briefly describe some of the most commonly seen terms.

Call - To call is to hold your hand without raising your original bet.

Raise - This means that you want to place a bet on the value of the last card falling between those of the first two cards. This doubles your original bet and if you win, your payout is doubled.

Spread - The Spread shows how many cards fall between the value of the first two dealt cards. For example, if you are dealt a 4 and 9, the Spread would be 4 because that is how many cards fall between those two numbers. A marker will be placed on the spread position “4"

Consecutives - This simply means that the value of your first two cards are consecutive or that they fall in order, such as two and three. When this happens, the game is a draw and your bet is returned. Pairs - A pair is simply that, a pair of cards with the same value. If you are dealt a pair, a third card is automatically dealt and if the third card is also the same, you will be paid for a three of a kind, if not, it’s a draw and your bet is returned.
