Vegas Strip Blackjack
Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with four decks of
52 cards that are shuffled before each game. Vegas Strip Blackjack,
like several other Blackjack variations, is an American Hole Card
game which means that the dealer has to check for Blackjack each
time he is dealt a ten, face card or an Ace. In Vegas Strip
Blackjack, you can “hit” up to nine times to equal a hand of eleven
cards as long as you don’t bust. If you reach the full eleven cards
without going over 21, you will automatically stand and the dealer
takes his turn. Also, in Vegas Strip Blackjack, the dealer must
stand on any 17. If you get a Blackjack, unless the dealer has one
as well, you are paid out at 3 to 2. If the hand is a tie with a
Blackjack or any other hand, the round is a “Push” and your bet is
credited back to your total.
The Splitting, Double Down and Insurance Rules for Vegas Strip
Blackjack are listed below. These rules vary slightly from variation
to variation, so be sure to read these rules before begin inning the
game.
1. You are able to Split any two cards that are equal
in value or denomination. For example, you can Split a King and Ten
or two Eights. Your original hand is then split into two hands with
bets equal to your original on each.
2. If you decide to
Split two Aces:
a.) If you receive a “Blackjack”, it is not
considered a Blackjack, only a 21 (this also applies to any cards
with a value of 10)
b.) You are only allowed to split aces one
time per hand
c.) You are only dealt one card for each ace and
then your hand automatically stands.
3. You are allowed to
Split up to 3 times per round for a total of 4 hands.
4. You
are allowed to Double after splitting in Vegas Strip
Blackjack.
5. You are offered Insurance if face-up card of
the dealer is an Ace
6. The cost of Insurance is half of your
original bet
