Odds On’s version of Progressive Blackjack is played with 4 decks
of cards. These cards are always shuffled at the end of each game.
You are allowed to continue “Hitting” for as long as you want to, as
long as your hand doesn’t Bust. The rules of this progressive game
state that the dealer must hit on anything 16 and under and stand on
any other hand. As with other versions of the game, if you are dealt
a Blackjack (an Ace and a 10 or Face Card), you will automatically
stand and unless the dealer also gets blackjack, you are paid 3 to 2
odds.
You may Split any qualifying hand ( i.e. a pair),
however if you split two Aces, Tens or Face Cards and get 21 after
only one additional card is dealt, this is NOT considered a
Blackjack, only a simple 21. You can only get one additional card
when splitting Aces and you are not permitted to split an already
split hand.
If your first two cards equal 9, 10 or 11 then
you are offered the option of Doubling. This means that you double
your wager and are dealt only one additional card. If you win on a
Double, you will be paid four times your original bet.
As in
other versions of Blackjack, if the dealer’s face up card turns out
to be an Ace, you are given the opportunity to buy Insurance. You
must buy Insurance before you play your hand. If you buy Insurance
and then either Split or Double your hand, you Insurance is
automatically doubled as well.
