Tri-Card Poker is played with one deck of 52 cards, it offers a
max bet of $600 and coin sizes of one dollar, five dollars, ten
dollars and one hundred dollars. In this game, the player and the
dealer are each dealt three cards, and there are two kinds of bets;
a Pair Plus and an Ante bet (the player has the choice of using one
or the other or both). If the bet is placed on Pair Plus, it is
placed on the outcome of the player’s hand, aiming for a Pair or
better. If the bet is place on the Ante, it puts the dealer’s hand
against the player’s hand.
To start the game (once bets are
placed), the player’s hand is dealt face up and the dealer’s hand is
dealt face down. The player now has the option of Folding, and if
this option is chosen, all bets are lost and the game is over. The
other option available at this point is to Raise, which basically
means doubling the original bet and indicates the intention of
challenging the dealer’s hand. At this point, the dealer’s hand is
shown, and it is established if the dealer’s hand qualifies (meaning
the dealer has a Queen or higher) or not. If the dealer does not
qualify, the player is paid 1:1 on their Ante and any Raise is
returned. If the dealer’s hand qualifies and both the dealer’s and
the player’s hands are equal in rank/value, the winner is determined
by the kicker. The player can win by having a better hand than the
dealer (thereby winning the Ante and any Raise). If the player’s
hand includes a straight, three of a kind or a straight flush, the
player is eligible for the Ante Bonus (shown in the Ante Bonus
Paytable below).
